**Volunteer positions are fillable season by season but we would also welcome anyone who wants to take a role year-round.

How to Volunteer
You can sign up for a volunteering role in Demosphere. The easiest time to do this would be when you are registering your player(s).
*Those volunteering to be a Coach/Assistant Coach should email Head Coach Adam Ojibway, president@haywardunitedsoccer.com, before registering to get their discount code.

Team Roles Details:
COACH*
Instruct players on age-appropriate soccer skills during practice times and games:
4U-8U 10U 12U-18U
Soccer Basics/Essentials Intro to Competitive Play Game Strategy
Assistant Coach*
Help head coach however needed including running practice and games when the head coach is not available.
Team Parent
Be the communications go-between for your team, coach, parents, and club happenings
Team Photographer
Take 1-2 pictures of each practice or game and send them to the Information Committee.
Game Reporter
Using a template supplied by the club, write up a 4-6 sentence summary of weekend games to be submitted to the newspaper and posted on our News Feed page.
Club Roles Details:
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
You are responsible for organizing the other volunteers and making sure they have the information they need.
FIELD COMMITTEE (Fall Season Only)
You are responsible for organizing and helping to paint lines, clean up brush, and pick up garbage.
Concessions Committee
Organize and stock weekly concessions along with organizing the concession stand for the tournaments Hayward hosts.
T-Shirt Committee
Bag, label, and distribute club t-shirts.
Fundraising Committee
Brainstorm and organize new fundraising opportunities
Sponsorship Committee
Ask businesses and families to donate or be a sponsor of Hayward United Soccer.
Booster Level - $100
Defender Level - $250
Striker Level - $500
Hat Trick Level - $1000
Golden Goal Level - $1500
World Cup Level - $2000
Information Committee
Help get the word out about Hayward United Soccer and all of its activities
CluB COMMUNICATIONS
Pass on the news and information from the board to participants/families and volunteers.
Newspaper
Write news articles or game reports during each soccer season.
Social Media
Create posts regarding what’s happening in the current soccer season.
